MEDITATION PUBLIC TALKS
24-25 October – 7-9pm
In order to fulfil our wishes for permanent lasting happiness, Buddha revealed a spiritual journey known as the path to enlightenment. The practices that comprise this path are known as the six perfections: six essential daily trainings that transform our experience from being self-centred and unhappy to becoming both selfless and joyful.
In these public talks Gen Dornying will explain the six perfections and how to integrate them into our daily activities. On the first night he will teach how to cultivate generosity, acceptance and integrity; and on the second night he will explain how to control the mind with clear and joyful meditation. By bringing this wisdom into our daily experience, everyone can find the pure happiness they long for. You can book for both or either talk. Everybody is welcome.
The teacher of these talks is Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Dornying. Gen Dornying is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Australia located in Melbourne and has been teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over 15 years. He teaches all over Australia and is well loved for his sincerity, warmth and humility.
